Austin Francom

Austin Francom, APRN, FNP

Austin is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). He started his work in health care at Volunteers of America social detox and the University of Utah's Neuropsychiatric Institute while obtaining undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology.

After starting a career in nursing with experience largely in mental health and critical care, he earned a master's degree in nursing from Westminster College. He has been practicing in the Salt Lake Valley in primary care since 2013. Austin continues to work at the Neuropsychiatric Institute as an advanced practice clinician. In 2015, he began working full time in family practice at Summit Primary Care.

Mark Francom

Mark Francom, APRN, FNP

Mark graduated from Idaho State University with a Master's of Science in Nursing in 2011. He is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the AANP, and is a member of the American College Health Association. After graduation, he joined the National Health Service Corp with a desire to provide healthcare to under-served populations.  He spent a year in an urban clinic in Chicago providing primary care and developing a house calls program.

After leaving Chicago, Mark spent 2 years in the rural community of Show Low Arizona where he provided full family practice and community based mental health care. After his time with the Service Corp, he moved back to Utah to be closer to family. Mark spent 2 years managing the student health clinic at Salt Lake Community College's Center for Health & Counseling.  He has provided care in the areas of family practice, preventative medicine, women's health, house-calls, hospice and mental health.  His most fulfilling and challenging work has been building this practice with his brother Austin.

Tamara Broadhead

Tamara Broadhead, DNP-FNP

Tamara is excited to be joining Summit Primary Care and Clinical Services in the Spring of 2017 upon graduation from Idaho State University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree. Her specialty is in Family Practice. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah and a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in Psychology. 

Prior to earning her doctorate, Tamara worked in many nursing areas including acute, urgent, emergent and intensive care for all ages. She has been an adult acute care case manager in home health. In addition, she has worked as a clinical instructor for several nursing colleges at the associate and bachelor degree levels while working on her graduate degree. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Utah Nurse Practitioners (UNP) organizations.
